Can the influenza vaccine cause the flu?
No. The vaccine does not contain live virus so you cannot get the flu from the vaccine.
How many doses of the vaccine do I need?
Because the influenza virus changes often, it is necessary to get the flu shot every year, for protection against the virus strains that may be circulating that year.

PCN has expanded its hours of service to 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday each week except holidays.
We are open for all patient visits and return to full medical care. All appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and disinfecting practices will be in place. We have returned to our regular practice of not renewing meds by phone or fax. Please remember to bring a Prescription Preauthorization Renewal Request from your pharmacy as this helps double check and avoid medication errors. To maintain standard of excellent care guidelines, our patients will be reviewed periodically and medication renewed/adjusted as medically indicated.
